Sharon Considine completes midnight walk in 4 hours 5 minutes to raise funds for local charity Overgate Hospice
Lucy Zodion Ltd. employee Sharon Considine took part in a midnight walk on Saturday 18th September 2021, to raise funds for Overgate Hospice. Sharon completed the 13 mile walk in just 4 hours and 5 minutes, which raised £128 in donations from fellow Lucy Zodion employees.
The Hospice is a Calderdale based Charity (the region in which Lucy Zodion operates) dedicated to caring for patients with life-limiting illnesses.
Each day it costs the Charity £7,000 to provide effective care and assistance to its patients; that’s £3.5million each year. Although partially funded by the Government and the National Health Service (NHS), with around 27% of funding coming from Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), the Charity is heavily reliant on donations to help reach the remaining £2.5 million.
The donation will help to ensure the Hospice continues to provide the valuable services that touch the lives of so many throughout Calderdale.
