Lucy Zodion joins Lucy Group in celebrating new government certification that gives stakeholders confidence in ongoing security commitment

Lucy Group Ltd, the organisation in which Lucy Zodion is a part of, has been recognised for its dedication to offering high standards of cyber security with the achievement of the Cyber Essentials Plus Certification. The first in a number of industry standards the Group is committed to achieve, the Certification is part of a Government backed scheme.

Cyber Essentials has been introduced to ensure organisations, such as Lucy Group, are protected against a wide range of common cyber-attacks. The scheme is an annually audited process that, once accredited, allows businesses to display the highly esteemed and recognised ‘Cyber Essentials Plus’ logo across a range of documentation and communications, in order to instil customer confidence that security is a serious consideration.

This is a huge step for the Group and is significant for the organisation’s ongoing commitment to improved security. The Certification ensures the Group’s core IT infrastructure now meets basic government security standards, which gives Lucy Group scope to increase the range of contracts it can propose for tender, especially those that specify the Cyber Essentials Plus standard.

Cyber security is a serious consideration for Lucy Group and it continues to recognise the threats the industry faces, which are increasing in frequency and complexity. The organisation strives to work with all business units, such as Lucy Zodion, to maintain an appropriate level of security to protect both its employees and customers.

As the Group continues to develop software products, a focus on particular aspects that require intrinsic security will be adopted; this includes Lucy Zodion’s ongoing work in developing its next generation IaaS solution. This means ensuring that such projects will be able to also obtain the Cyber Essentials accreditation.

Paul Knight, Head of Lucy Group IT, comments:

Lucy Group’s Information Systems (IS) team has worked incredibly hard to get this certification and is extremely proud to have passed the audit. We are delighted that our hard work has been recognised externally with the Cyber Essentials Plus Certification, which marks the beginning of our journey to ensure the Lucy Group becomes an inherently cyber-secure organisation.
